Budilean Carmen is from Romania and moved to Canada at the age of eight. Since 2009, she has worked with various Green parties across Canada. In 2011, she ran as a candidate of the Green Party of Canada in the riding of Saint Lambert. She then served on the Executive Council of the Green Party of Quebec and served as campaign manager for Green Party of New Brunswick. She also worked as an organizer in the federal election the Green Party of Canada in 2015. Today she is the executive director of the Green Party of New Brunswick. Carmen is a member of many environmental groups and groups fighting for social justice and gender equality. Carmen spoke repeatedly to the Centers for women to talk about the reality of women and the importance of gender equality.
